Apply to attend a school other than your neighborhood school for the 2022-2023 school year. The application window open October 25, 2021 and close January 21, 2022.
Why Geiger
Montessori is an educational approach that emphasizes self-directed learning. Geiger offers preschool through fifth-grade classes. Classrooms are mixed age, with Children's House (age 3-Kindergarten), Lower Elementary (Grades 1-3) and Upper Elementary (Grades 4-5). Students work uninterrupted for long periods of time on tasks they choose from a range of options with the teacher facilitating progress. The approach aims to cultivate concentration, leadership, self-motivation and a sense of community. Additionally, Geiger features a focus on peace with children encouraged to peacefully resolve conflicts and interact with the world.
